What is Christian Life Coaching?

The focus of purpose-driven Christian life coaching is to assist others in realizing their God-given potential, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, setting goals, overcoming obstacles, and in discovering God's purpose and empowerment for their lives. Working together with clients and group participants, I am dedicated to helping them:

discover and develop their own unique inner qualities, while gaining a healthy perspective of "who" they are in the eyes of God and through Jesus Christ, while building self-esteem;
target and address specific areas of their lives in which change is needed or desired;
learn to effectively set and achieve goals, both in the short and long term, to bring about positive change;
embrace their own personal worth as a child of God, while discovering empowering Biblical truths and new life strategies which help them grow spiritually;
identify and overcome obstacles that prevent them from achieving their goals and from living a joyful, purposeful life;
and actively move toward living a more passionate, purposeful life, while becoming the person God created them to be!

Please note that life coaching is not the same as professional counseling. As a Christian life coach, my objective is to assist clients and group participants in the very best way possible to help define their individual gifts, purpose and goals, while bringing focus, fulfillment, and harmony to their lives. In some cases, depending on the circumstances and needs of an individual client, professional counseling may be suggested in order to better serve his/her individual needs. In such cases, I would be happy to offer a professional counseling referral.

individuals seeking to discover their purpose in life, to identify their individual, God-given talents and gifts, and to obtain assistance in applying Biblical truths which will help them to live more passionate, purpose-filled lives
persons with chronic illness and/or pain who want to regain control, re-define, and discover new meaning, purpose and fulfillment in their lives
persons who have experienced a major loss (such as divorce or loss of a spouse) or who have encountered a significant life change and who seek assistance moving forward and in discovering new purpose and fulfillment for an authentic, joyful life
parents and family members seeking to build positive interactions and to restore joy and harmony to their family life
individuals seeking motivation and support to help them achieve more, find fulfillment, to live authentically, build Christian character, and to grow toward becoming the very best God created them to be!

About the Coach

Hello. I'm Angela Dobbins, Christian Life Coach. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse & Training Instructor, I have been caring for people, as well as offering training, instruction, coaching and mentoring since 1990. In 2007 I received my coach's training through the Coach Training Alliance and am a member of the International Association of Coaching. I am currently working toward an advanced diploma in Biblical Counseling and hold an active membership in the American Association of Christian Counselors. You might say life coaching and sharing God's love and Word with others are my life's passion.

From my own personal experience, I have learned firsthand about perseverance. Through living with chronic illness and pain, battling depression, overcoming divorce, caring for chronically-ill family members, and many other life lessons, God has taught me more about His great love for humanity. And I believe He has given me greater insight into understanding and helping others become all they can be- even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Life coaching, to me, is much more than a profession- it is my ministry. I would be honored to be at your service. Let's talk. I'm here to listen. And I have a heartfelt passion for helping You become the person GOD created you to be!
